Welcome...I am a professional photographer originally from Los Angeles, CA...I have been in Atlanta since 1990.
As far back as I can remember I have enjoyed taking, looking at and posing for pictures. Photography is my PASSION and I am blessed that not only am I doing what I enjoy...but it is also paying the bills.
Throughout my life pictures have always been a part of my life from my first 110 Kodak camera to my first all manual Nikon. From my “What is that" picture, to my “Wow, that is Hott" picture.
I have always been interested in what is behind, in front of or on the side of a subject in a picture. To me that is the story of the person or place. The hat on the floor by the door, the picture of the grandchildren on the table by the antique lamp, the reflections that show the other people in the room, all little doors allowing you to participate in the picture. It was then that I realized that photography was my passion.
After taking classes at The Showcase School I was able to grow by leaps and bounds in life and photography. I have learned to look at things from different points of view, not just at eye level. From getting down on the ground to getting above my subject, from a horizontal to a vertical view. By looking from these different perspectives I realized the world becomes a fascinating multidimensional playground. The buildings we pass everyday to work become huge works of art. The cars we drive everyday, at night become streaks of red & white paint on an interstate canvass.
It is my goal to be able to have the people who view my pictures feel as if they are a part of the experience. I know this is a tall order, however, with the teachers & classes at Showcase I am up to the challenge. Until next time…Stop & get down on the ground…who knows what you will discover!!
